Basketball on the weekends. Who wants to join?

I started last weekend, but have yet to receive any interest. I WILL be going EVERY week, so just post in here and I will check on thursday. We would be playing near Sam's Club. Hope to ear from you. The weather is so nice recently, instead of just sitting home waiting to go to some club, get out and get some healthy in ya:)

Well, I wouldn't call this an event really;) Especially since only two people have shown interest and one of them is not even in Shenzhen:D Sure Ken. We can try that this time. I usually go a little far to the Sam's club area because the court there is really nice. How about we meet at Window of the World in the subway around 2pm Saturday? I believe it will be all boys playing, but girls are welcome to come and have their own game going at the same time. I'd just be worried about the guys being too rough. I know just last weekend someone poked me in the eye pretty bad, and every game I get and give many a foul(usually unintentionally;) We can try it out, it's not like I'm the King or anything.:)

Well that was lots of fun, I hope more will join. Good opportunity to meet new people in Shenzhen and have a little fun and exercise:) That park in OCT is really a beautiful place. Maybe next week, I'll bring my coworkers or we can go play at the court we usually go to by Sam's club. Found out I can get in there no problem.

Hey Mac, sure come on out. Be good to have someone around who really knows how to play. Meaning, I can play, but not really well. Some advice from someone who knows a bit more would be nice. So this Saturday, we can go around 2. I'm gonna ask my coworkers where they wanna play and then I can let you know how to get there. I've set up an e-mail address just for this basketball thing.

This Saturday, if anyone is interested in coming, I will be waiting at the Hua Qiao Cheng subway @ 1:30 for anyone who would like to join us. We will leave there at 1:45 sharp and go to the courts which are very close to there. It's directly behind the Walmart. If you still want to come and we have already left, just walk to Walmart. If you are facing the entrance walk to the right of the entrance and you can walk down this small corridor of stores(few clothing stores and a small bakery on the right). Keep going and you'll come to a main street. Cross it and you'll see a park with a big fountain in it. walk to the right of the fountain till you find a boardwalk and continue in the same direction you've been going till you'll see basketball courts on your right. It shouldn't be hard to spot me, I'm a fat guy and I'll probably be wearing a Yankees hat:)

Just to let anyone know, We've been playing every weekend and all are still welcome, just add my MSN name posted above or send me an e-mail;) we will be playing regardless of the weather, but if it rains it might cost a little money to use an indoor basketball court we know. Hey guys, I hope you are all up for basketball this weekend. My coworker friend is coming and he usually brings a few people from his department, so I hope we have a nice turnout. I'd like to go to the indoor basketball court in Che Gong Miao. I will ask Brian to reserve the court for 3-6pm. It is a pay court, but is pretty cheap, only 75yuan per hour if memory serves. Sunday if the weather is good, we can play outside either at Xiang Ge Li Yuan(free) or Go to a pay one like the one at the Shenzhen Gym or any one that we wanna try out. I'd like to discuss that a little tomorrow. If you are all up for it, I'd like us to have dinner either today or Sunday after we play. We can decide then where to go.First we can all go home to shower, then meet somewhere and go dutch on the bill. Please let me know if you can make it to the game and possible dinner.

Hey all you guys that I used to love playing with. This is Coach Mac and I wanted to give you a kind of update on my coaching activities. Last week, we attended the asia basketball championships in Donguan with the Winling Pro bawsketball team. I went as the assistant of that team and Tim Darling the former National Coach was the head coach. We did quite well, losing in the first game to China with their six National team players by 9. we then defeated Korea 79-67 and then Japan (who the day before defeated China 89-70. this created a three way tie. For us to get into the champioship game, we needed Korea to beat China. with 3 minutes to go in the game, Korea was up by 14, then mysteriously things began to happen. the refs fouled out Koreas two import players from america(all this in about 40 seconds..lol) and their best three point shooter..China came back and defeated Korea by one. as a result we were relegated to third place. finally my womens pro team is undefeated at 2-0..take care all my basketball friends coach mac
