Parkhaus Restaurant Launches Revised Menu

I have a little question to anyone that has seen Parkhaus but has not gone in for lunch or dinner. They have a nice little menu, they use good ingredients, and the food is pretty good. I recently went in for a cheeseburger and it was really nice. I don't see why it is often empty:) Is there something I don't know?:) It can't be the prices, cause focaccino costs about the same and is almost always a little busy. The location maybe? Coco Park is pretty busy, but Parkhaus doesn't seem to stand out to me. Style of food? Can't be the help because they always seem eager to please and very helpful. What do you guys think?

Yeh Brent took me once and I like it too, But for somereason, i dont alays feel like going back.

One thing i do dissagree with is the service charge, there is no need to add a service charge extra to the end, either include it in your price or lose it altogether.

Now I gotta find my receipt, I don't think there was a service charge. Either they stopped charging it or I missed it. Yeah, I liked the burger. The burger was nice and thick. The only other good burger in the area of Coco Park is at Cafe Marco at the Marco Polo Hotel. Though, I would recommend the burgers at Mcawleys in Shekou. Really nice. Big and Juicy. Very filling.


Parkhaus is a little confusing though. I'm not really sure what it wants to be. Their slogan is for emphasizing their wine and cheese. Their decorations kind of reflect that, but then their menu is really varied. I never went there specifically because of the prices and because it looked like it was trying to be appealing to the very high class. :) If they were allowed to have like two rows of tables outside and put up some Christmas lights like they have in Coco Parks bar street, I think more might come over to check them out :) Maybe occasionally standing outside giving some free samples of cheese;) I think many see it, but don't know what to make of it. It doesn't really stand out. Would you agree?

yes i Agree Jeff, it sort of sits there in the dark corner of that basement area, maybe the samplers and a few tables might be something they can look into.

I think Parkhaus is a great addition to the neighborhood, but they need to be more aggressive on the marketing. I mean in the location they have, they should definitely get out there more.

After being open for a few months.. they still haven't had a 'grand opening' party and they don't advertise. Many people I know have said great things about Parkhaus, but many people have also never even heard of it.

Get out there guys! You have a great product and great service, but in your location, you have to let people know you are around and you have something special to offer. Foccacino is doing better just because of their location.. not because their food or service is better.
