Sunday Brunch options have widened in the city as Mercado has started a Seafood Brunch in the Intercontinental Shenzhen. Now that we are into spring a good place to go to brunch as it is the only place with outdoor seating. It felt very relaxing to sip Champagne with the sound of flowing water in the background so we have to give it very high marks for the environment factor. Service was also very friendly and the level of English is very high.

Consentrating on the seafood lover, this brunch is not for vegitarians though they are happy to accomodate many custom requests. They also leave out some of the basic things westerners expect at a brunch like this but Chinese will not miss for example Omlettes and Panacakes.
This brunch is 328RMB+15% per person including all the beer and Champagne you can drink. Fruit juices and coffee and tea are also included.
Next we we will review all you can eat Dim sum at El Chino.
Note: As we went to press, the Intercontinental Shenzhen informed us that the sushi bar will already be improved this weekend (April 27th, 2008).

this sounds like a good venue to have a sunday brunch birthday, and with the weather warming up might be a good chance to sit around and chat for a few hours

Totally disappointed. I
Totally disappointed.
I went there with my friend, it was her birthday so I deiced to give her a treat. End up really disappointed!
First, there is NO Lobster, NO King Crab Legs, NO Oyster, seafood choice is really limited. Can not really claim it as Sunday Seafood market!
What they called "Traditional Paella" terrible! The Paella was served in a Chinese style steam basket in the section of Chinese Dimsum. Already lost the appetite before you actually try it. And the taste is not good. Oh, BTW skip the Dimsum.
You are right, the Sushi bar is definitely of no fun! It looks like what sales in Jusco supermarket. I did not taste any.
The glass for serving the Sparkling white wine looks ugly and lacking of elegance... Please don't write "including all the beer and Champagne" it's miss guided.
What i like: the tomato sauce at the seafood section, the pene with creamy sauce, and the ice-cream.
The environment is nice, as it supposed to be, a restaurant in a 5 star hotel, friendly service. One thing I have to mention, I saw some hotel staff (managed level probably) eating there with their uniform, I don't really feel good about that, give you a feeling " staff cafeteria"?
During all the time we were eating there, I don't remember even one dish it's really yummy... in a word, you are not getting what you paid.
